Answers to Your Most Frequently Asked Questions

Activity Related

Q. When do you open and close your season?
A. We are open year round, although some activities are seasonal, so please check the website for availability

Q. Where are you located? 

A. Tour Canmore is located downtown Canmore AB at #1 - 702 8th St (Main St.) 1 hour drive west of Calgary. Canmore is located

along the Trans-Canada on the boundary of Banff National Park. 

Q. Do you have parking?

A. Tour Canmore is located downtown which has public parking areas located through out.

Q. Are there restriction to age and physical abilities?

A. Depending on the activity there may be restrictions. Call or Visit Tour Canmore for inquires. 

Q. Do we need to fill out a waiver?

A. Yes all guest must fill out a waiver. 

Q. What should we wear?
A. Dress appropriate for the weather on the day. Required to wear which ever gear the activity provider deems appropriate.

Equipment lists, if applicable, are sent when booking said activities.

Q. When is the best time to adventure?
A. Anytime!

Q. Will we see wildlife on any or all the tours?

A. Although we live in the Mountains and are surrounded by wilderness, we never guarantee wildlife sightings on any tours. Animals are wild and operate on their own time lines. If you happen to see any creatures, consider yourselves lucky!

Q. What happens with bad weather?
A. Most activities proceed in most weather. If the supplier deems the weather to risky to proceed, then they will sort out alternatives or refunds.

Q. Can we bring a camera/Go Pro, can I wear it on most activities?
A. Most likely, its up to the guides but, Tour Canmore and its suppliers do not take any responsibility for items lost on any trip including Cameras/Go Pro's.

Q. Are these activities dangerous?
A. With Tour Canmore and its partners activities, an element of risk is inherent & beyond human control; this is often what attracts people to Adventure. Tour Canmore spares no effort to ensure that you are aware of risks and hazards, but cannot assume responsibility for your safety or loss of personal equipment.

Q. How can we book?

A. We take some bookings online. Just click on the Book Now button under the trip you wish to join and follow the directions. We also take bookings at our Tour Canmore location downtown at 702 8th St (Main St.) and by Phone at 1.587.807.6843

Q. Can we pay cash upon arrival?
A. We require your reservation to be paid in full prior to your trip. Without full payment, we cannot hold the spots for you. Guides must be reserved for the day.

Q. Do you give refunds?
A. With most companies full refunds are given if a cancellation is received 48 hours prior to trip date. (Some suppliers have different policies. When booking you tour please check with the reservation agent about cancellation policies) The deposit is non-refundable within 48 hours of trip. If a booking is made the day of the trip, no refunds will be given. If the weather approaches extreme and safety is a concern, the trip will be reassessed, delayed, cancelled or re-scheduled. We live in the mountains where the weather can change in a moment so changes maybe last minute.
